Conceptually, the Application is a way of obtaining initial information relevant to areas that should be examined before a person can be considered for the position that needs to be filled. Theoretically, the form should be more like a complete framework that encompasses all key areas of interest, but such framework will have to be split since you can only fit so much on to a page. Operationally, it should be the first thing the prospective recruit is asked to fill out and the best way to reciprocate is to enable the recruit to glance through the company brochure or general PR materials before the actual interview takes place with recruiter. (Include in Operations Guidelines & Activity Frameworks set, organized under the Recruitment Mechanics & Motivation Techniques print master section which should cover different aspects from interviewing to positive influence guidelines).

Categorically, this Application Form can be used no matter what position is applied, whether or not a resume is attached. Any Application should systematically cover personal & background data of interest, recent work history and prior experience, education and special trade studies, as well as emergency contacts and personal references if required, all of which should be clearly recognizable on Application designed with separate sections respectively. Applications submitted should be maintained in general recruitment files, with resume or other pertinent information attached and later refilled in employee's or contract section or by name of recruit in the event the person is hired. (Include a blank Application Form in the Human Relations Department section of the Operations Manual and in any related departmental work-booklets).

Conceptually, the Application Supplement form should help to round out background reference points and perspectives concerning specific areas of interest, no matter what position is involved. Theoretically, it is an extension of the Application Form and delves into more psychological areas with certain leading and more meaningful questions to help establish better perspectives. Operationally, the form also serves as a guideline for recruiter's questions and possible areas of discussion in the "get to know each other phase" of the initial interview, and should also be quite helpful in the assessment phase, whether during or after the meeting. (A blank copy should be included in the Recruitment Mechanics & Motivation Techniques print master section of the Operations Guidelines & Activity Frameworks set).

Functionally, it can easily be used to establish and clarify qualification perspectives in areas of a more sensitive nature. (Include in recruitment section of Sales-Kits and Operations-Kits).
